The perfect consecration to Jesus Christ

സീയോന്‍ പുത്രീ, അതിയായി ആനന്‌ദിക്കുക. ജറുസലെം പുത്രീ, ആര്‍പ്പുവിളിക്കുക. ഇതാ, നിന്‍െറ രാജാവ്‌ നിന്‍െറ അടുക്കലേക്കു വരുന്നു. അവന്‍ പ്രതാപവാനും ജയശാലിയുമാണ്‌. അവന്‍ വിനയാന്വിതനായി, കഴുതപ്പുറത്ത്‌, കഴുതക്കുട്ടിയുടെ പുറത്ത്‌, കയറിവരുന്നു. - സഖറിയാ 9 : 9

സീയോന്‍ പുത്രീ, ആനന്‌ദഗാനമാലപിക്കുക. ഇസ്രായേലേ, ആര്‍പ്പുവിളിക്കുക. ജറുസലെം പുത്രീ, പൂര്‍ണഹൃദയത്തോടെ സന്തോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്കുക. - സെഫാനിയാ 3 : 14'

സീയോൻ' എന്ന പദം ദൈവജനമായ ഇസ്രയേലിനെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. മിശിഹായുടെ വരവിനായി ദൈവം ഇസ്രയേലിനെ ഒരുക്കി. ദൈവദൂതൻ മംഗളവാർത്ത അറിയിച്ചപ്പോൾ സീയോൻ പുത്രിയായ മറിയം ഇസ്രായേൽ ജനത്തിനും മാനവരാശി മുഴുവനും വേണ്ടി സമ്മതമരുളുന്നു (ലുക്കാ 1:38; ലുമെൻ ജന്റിയം 55; വി.ജോൺ പോൾ - II)

Mary – The daughter of Sion

"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Lo, your king comes to you; triumphant and victorious is he, humble and riding on a donkey,on a colt, the foal of a donkey." (Zechariah 9:9)

"Sing aloud, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!" (Zephaniah 3:14)

‘Sion’ denotes Israel – God’s chosen people. God prepared Israel for the coming of the Messiah. When Mary the exalted daughter of Sion says yes to the Lord (Luke 1:38), she does this not only for Israel but also for the entire humanity. ( Lumen Gentium 55; St. Pope John Paul -II)
