മറിയം രക്തസാക്ഷികളുടെ രാജ്ഞി

മറിയം - ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ അമ്മ - ഒരു രക്തസാക്ഷിയുടെ അമ്മ 

മറിയം - ജീവിക്കുന്ന രക്തസാക്ഷി 

ശിമയോന്റെ പ്രവചനം "നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലൂടെ ഒരു വാൾ കടക്കും" (ലുക്കാ 2:35) മുതൽ വരെ കാൽവരി ക്രുശിൻചുവട്ടിൽ വരെ മറിയം കഠിനമായ വേദന പ്രാർത്ഥനാപൂർവ്വം മനസ്സിൽ സംവഹിച്ചു. 

അതിനാൽ മറിയത്തെ നമ്മൾ സകല വിശുദ്ധരുടെയും രക്തസാക്ഷികളുടെയും രാജ്ഞിയായി പ്രകീർത്തിക്കുന്നു.

മറിയം വാഗ്ദാനപേടകം

 പഴയനിയമ വാഗ്ദാനപേടകത്തിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന മൂന്ന് വസ്തുക്കളും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പ്രതീകങ്ങളാണ്

• പത്ത് കൽപനകൾ എഴുതിയ കൽപ്പലകകൾ - വചനമായ ക്രിസ്തു.
• മന്ന നിറച്ച സ്വർണ്ണക്കലശം - ജീവന്റെ അപ്പമായ ക്രിസ്തു - വിശുദ്ധ കുർബ്ബാന.  
• അഹറോന്റെ പൂത്തുതളിർത്ത വടി - നിത്യപുരോഹിതനായ ക്രിസ്‌തു. 

വചനവും ജീവന്റെ അപ്പവും നിത്യപുരോഹിതനുമായ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ ഉദരത്തിൽ വഹിച്ച മറിയം പുതിയ നിയമത്തിലെ വാഗ്ദാനപേടകമാണ്.

ഇപ്പോള്‍ മുതല്‍ സകല തലമുറകളും എന്നെ ഭാഗ്യവതി എന്നു പ്രകീര്‍ത്തിക്കും

മറിയം പറഞ്ഞു : 

എന്‍െറ ആത്‌മാവ്‌ കര്‍ത്താവിനെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു. 

എന്‍െറ ചിത്തം എന്‍െറ രക്‌ഷകനായ ദൈവത്തില്‍ ആനന്‌ദിക്കുന്നു. 

അവിടുന്ന്‌ തന്‍െറ ദാസിയുടെ താഴ്‌മയെ കടാക്‌ഷിച്ചു. 

ഇപ്പോള്‍ മുതല്‍ സകല തലമുറകളും എന്നെ ഭാഗ്യവതി എന്നു പ്രകീര്‍ത്തിക്കും. 

ശക്‌തനായവന്‍ എനിക്കു വലിയകാര്യങ്ങള്‍ ചെയ്‌തിരിക്കുന്നു,അവിടുത്തെനാമം പരിശുദ്‌ധമാണ്‌. 

അവിടുത്തെ ഭക്‌തരുടെമേല്‍ തലമുറകള്‍ തോറും അവിടുന്ന്‌ കരുണ വര്‍ഷിക്കും. 

അവിടുന്ന്‌ തന്‍െറ ഭുജംകൊണ്ട്‌ ശക്‌തി പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചു; ഹൃദയവിചാരത്തില്‍ അഹങ്കരിക്കുന്നവരെ ചിതറിച്ചു. ശക്‌തന്മാരെ സിംഹാസനത്തില്‍ നിന്നു മറിച്ചിട്ടു; എളിയവരെ ഉയര്‍ത്തി.

വിശക്കുന്നവരെ വിശിഷ്‌ടവിഭവങ്ങള്‍ കൊണ്ട്‌ സംതൃപ്‌തരാക്കി; സമ്പന്നരെ വെറുംകൈയോടെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു. തന്‍െറ കാരുണ്യം അനുസ്‌മരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്‌ അവിടുന്ന്‌ തന്‍െറ ദാസനായ ഇസ്രായേലിനെ സഹായിച്ചു. 

നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്‍മാരായ അബ്രാഹത്തോടും അവന്‍െറ സന്തതികളോടും എന്നേക്കുമായി ചെയ്‌ത വാഗ്‌ദാനം അനുസരിച്ചുതന്നെ. - ലൂക്കാ 1 : 46-55

From now on all generations will call me blessed

And Mary said,

“My soul magnifies the Lord,and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,

for he has looked with favor on the lowliness of his servant.

Surely,from now on all generations will call me blessed;

for the Mighty One has done great things for me,and holy is his name.

His mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.

He has shown strength with his arm;he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts.

He has brought down the powerful from their thrones,and lifted up the lowly;

he has filled the hungry with good things,and sent the rich away empty.

He has helped his servant Israel,in remembrance of his mercy,

according to the promise he made to our ancestors,to Abraham and to his descendants forever.”

Should we pray to Mary?

The angel Gabriel sent by God says - “Mary, for you have found favor with God.” - Luke 1:28

Shouldn’t we pray to Mary  who has ‘found favor’ with God the Father ? 

Brothers of Jesus

Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother called Mary? And are not his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? (Matthew 13:55, Mark 6:3)

• The Bible clearly states that Mary was a Virgin (Matthew 1:18-25 , Luke 1:26-38) and Jesus was her only Son (Luke 1:31).
• James and Joseph (Josa) were in fact sons of Mary of Cleophas (Mark 15:40, John 19:25). The Bible is simply silent on the relationship of Jesus with Simon and Judas, they could be cousins of Jesus.
•  The Hebrew and Aramaic languages (spoken by Jesus and his disciples) did not have a special word meaning ‘cousin’. So, the speakers of these languages either used the words ‘brother’ or ‘son of my uncle’. The word ‘brother’ was the simplest and less clumsy choice.
• ‘Septaguint’ (the Greek translation of the old testament from Hebrew) uses the term ‘Adelphos’ meaning brother to indicate the relation between Abram and his nephew Loth (Genesis 13:8, 14:14 -16). The same term is used to refer to Jacob and his uncle Labaan (Genesis 29). ‘Adelphos’ thus has a broader meaning and not just implying biological brothers. 
• Further if Mary had other sons then, why does Jesus entrust his mother to his disciple John  ? (John 19:26-27)

മറിയത്തോടു നമ്മൾ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കണമോ ?

ഗബ്രിയേൽ മാലാഖ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദൂത് മറിയത്തെ അറിയിക്കുന്നു - "ദൈവസന്നിധിയില്‍ നീ കൃപ കണ്ടെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു" (ലൂക്കാ 1 : 30)

ദൈവസന്നിധിയില്‍ കൃപ കണ്ടെത്തിയ മറിയത്തോടു നമ്മൾ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കണം 

യേശുവിന്റെ അമ്മയും സഹോദരന്മാരും

ഇവന്‍ ആ തച്ചന്‍െറ മകനല്ലേ? മറിയമല്ലേ ഇവന്‍െറ അമ്മ? യാക്കോബ്‌, ജോസഫ്‌, ശിമയോന്‍, യൂദാസ്‌ എന്നിവരല്ലേ ഇവന്‍െറ സഹോദരന്‍മാര്‍? - മത്തായി 13:55 & മര്‍ക്കോസ്‌ 6 : 3

മറിയം കന്യകയായിരുന്നു എന്ന് ബൈബിൾ വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു (മത്തായി 1:18-25, ലുക്കാ 1:26 - 38). നീ ഗര്‍ഭം ധരിച്ച്‌ ഒരു പുത്രനെ പ്രസവിക്കും. നീ അവന്‌ യേശു എന്ന്‌ പേരിടണം (ലൂക്കാ 1 : 31)

യാക്കോബ് , യോസ (ജോസഫ്) എന്നിവർ മറിയം ക്ളോഫസിന്റെ മക്കളായിരുന്നു (മർക്കോസ് 15:40, യോഹന്നൻ 19:25) യേശുവും - ശിമയോന്‍, യൂദാസ്‌ എന്നിവരുമായുള്ള ബന്ധത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ബൈബിൾ നിശ്ശബ്ദമാണ്‌, അവർ യേശിവിന്റെ ബന്ധുക്കളായിരിക്കാം (കസിൻസ്).

യേശുവും ശിഷ്യന്മാരും സംസാരിച്ചിരുന്ന അരമായ, ഹീബ്രു ഭാഷകളിൽ 'കസിൻ ' എന്ന് ബന്ധത്തെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുവാൻ പ്രത്യേക പദമുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. അവർ 'സഹോദരൻ' അല്ലെങ്കിൽ 'എന്റെ അമ്മാവന്റെ മകൻ' എന്ന പദമായിരുന്നു ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നത്. സഹോദരൻ എന്ന പദമായിരുന്നു കൂടുതൽ ലളിതം.

ഹീബ്രു പഴയ നിയമത്തിന്റെ ഗ്രീക്ക് പരിഭാഷയായ സെപ്റ്റാഗിന്റ (Septuagint) അബ്രാമും മരുമകൻ ലോത്തും തമ്മിലുള്ള ബന്ധത്തെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുവാൻ സഹോദരൻ  എന്ന് അർത്ഥമുള്ള 'അദെൽഫോസ് ' (Adelphos) എന്ന പദമാണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്  (ഉൽപത്തി 13:8; 14:14-16). യാക്കോബും അമ്മാവൻ ലാബാനും തമ്മിലുള്ള ബന്ധത്തെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുവാനും ഇതെ പദമാണ് ബൈബിൾ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് (ഉൽപത്തി 29). 

മറിയത്തിനു മറ്റ് മക്കളുണ്ടായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ യേശു തന്റെ അമ്മയെ യോഹന്നാന്  ഏൽപ്പിക്കുമായിരുന്നോ? (യോഹന്നാൻ 19:26-27)

Marian dogmas of the Catholic Church

Dogma is a definitive article of faith that has been proclaimed by the college of Bishops at an ecumenical council or by the Pope. The Catholic church has four dogmas about Mary, these proclaim the special relationship she has with God and her role in human salvation. 

• Divine Motherhood: Proclaimed by Council of Ephesus (AD 431). Mary is called the ‘Mother of God’ or in Greek as ‘Theotokos’ (Birth giver of God).
• Perpetual Virginity: Mary was and is Virgin before, in and after Christ's birth. 
• Immaculate Conception: Proclaimed by Pope Pius IX (1854). By the special grace of the Almighty Father, Mary was kept free of every stain of original sin.
• The Assumption: Proclaimed by Pope Pius XII (1950). Mary was taken up in body and soul to heavenly glory on completing her life on earth.

• ലൂക്കാ 1:35 - ദൈവപുത്രൻ എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടും 
• ഗലാത്തിയ 4:4 - എന്നാല്‍, കാലസമ്പൂര്‍ണത വന്നപ്പോള്‍ ദൈവം തന്‍െറ പുത്രനെ അയച്ചു. അവന്‍ സ്‌ത്രീയില്‍നിന്നു ജാതനായി
• മത്തായി 12:46 ; 1:18; 2:11; 13:20; 12:46; 13:55 - അവന്റെ അമ്മ 
• ഏശയ്യാ 7 :14 - ഇമ്മാനുവേൽ പ്രവചനം 

Mary, Mother of God

• Luke 1:43 - the mother of my Lord
• John 2:1 - the mother of Jesus
• Luke 1:35 - he will be called Son of God
• Galatians 4:4 - But when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman
